Bristol's 100-car-damage spree suspect arrested

Cars damaged in Hampton Road, Bristol Vehicles in Hampton Road and neighbouring streets were targeted

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing thousands of pounds of damage to cars in two streets in Bristol.

More than 100 cars had their wing mirrors damaged in the Cotham area, in the early hours.

Avon and Somerset Police said that damage had been caused to vehicles parked in Hampton Road, and in neighbouring streets.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and remains in custody, police said.

A police spokesman said: "Officers have been out and about in the area since the incidents were reported providing support and information to owners of the damaged property."
