CWU and Royal Mail reach agreement over Bristol mail depot dispute
A long-running dispute over workload at a south Bristol mail delivery office as been resolved
Workers at the Bedminster depot on Mead Way held a series of strikes after claiming they were being asked to do more work with fewer people.
Following a series of talks between the Communication Workers Union (CWU) and Royal Mail at the conciliation service Acas, an agreement was reached.
A CWU spokesman said he was "pleased" the matter had been resolved.
He said the deal "provides for a common sense way forward".
The agreement will see a full revision of deliveries in the unit, as well as an independent review of both employee and industrial relations at the site.
The review will be conducted by Acas.
About 100 people work at the depot which serves properties in the BS4 (Knowle) and BS14 (Hengrove) postcode areas.
