Matti Braun uses felled fir tree for new art exhibit
A 30ft (9m) Douglas fir tree felled at Westonbirt Arboretum is the centrepiece of a new exhibition at Bristol's Arnolfini.
Fire crews pumped 20,000 litres of water into the first floor space to help create the exhibit.
Stepping stones made from the 150-year-old tree are positioned to appear as if they are floating.
The creator of Gost Log, Matti Braun, hopes it will be a space to explore and reflect in.
The stepping stones also provide a route for visitors to other parts of the exhibition.
