Plans to sell off more than 40 green spaces across Bristol to raise money for the city's parks have been voted through.

Councillors decided to defer a decision over the future of land at Gill Avenue, Plummer's Hill and Delabere Avenue.

It is thought £16m could be raised from the sites earmarked for development and they will be sold off gradually over the next 20 years.

Protesters have raised concerns about loss of wildlife and open spaces.
