Man dies and child hurt in two-car collision in Shirley

A man died and a child was taken to hospital after two cars crashed in the West Midlands.
Emergency crews were called to Bills Lane at the junction with Langcomb Road, Shirley, at about 14:30 BST.
West Midlands Police said a 59-year-old man who was in a Vauxhall Astra died at the scene and a nine-year-old was taken to hospital for further treatment.
Officers arrested a 19-year-old man who was in a Range Rover, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
