Wolverhampton man pleads guilty to wife stabbing

A man has admitted stabbing his estranged wife to death at her Wolverhampton home.

Kanwal Azam was found by police with multiple stab injuries in her living room at an address in Ingelby Gardens on 29 March.

The 35-year-old later died in hospital.

Suhail Azam, 54, of Newhampton Road East, Whitmore Reans, pleaded guilty to murder at a hearing at Stafford Crown Court on Thursday. He is due to be sentenced on 2 September.
