Cynthia Beamond Cynthia Beamond died of "serious head injuries"

The body of a murdered pensioner was found in her garage, an inquest has heard.

Cynthia Beamond was discovered at her house in Halesowen on 29 June.

Police said the body had been "carefully concealed". A post mortem revealed she died of "serious head injuries".

Her inquest was opened and adjourned at Smethwick Council House on Monday. A woman, 23, and man, 32, have appeared before magistrates charged with murder.
