Man dies in Market Drayton milk tanker crash

Adderley Road The crash happened on Adderley Road on Monday afternoon

A man has died in a crash involving a milk tanker and a van on a Shropshire road.

Paramedics were called to the the A529 Adderley Road in Market Drayton, just after 14:00 BST, a West Midlands Ambulance spokesman said.

The van driver, a man in his 30s, died at the scene. The milk tanker driver, who suffered minor injuries, had to be cut free by firefighters.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said the road would remain closed for some time.
