Man denies murdering ex-wife in Pype Hayes, Birmingham

Crime scene in Woodlands Farm Road Luan Leigh was confirmed dead at her home in Woodlands Farm Road on Sunday

A man has pleaded not guilty to murdering his ex-wife and attempting to murder two children.

Andrew Leigh, 42, from Kennedy Close, Sutton Coldfield, entered the not guilty pleas at Birmingham Crown Court.

Luan Leigh, also 42, was confirmed dead at her home in Woodlands Farm Road, Pype Hayes, at 07:30 BST on Sunday.

A post-mortem examination found she died of compression to the neck. A provisional trial date has been set for early December.

The two children cannot be named in order to protect their identities.
