Cynthia Beamond Cynthia Beamond was last seen on Friday morning

Police have been granted more time to question two suspects over the murder of a Halesowen grandmother.

Cynthia Beamond, 80, was found dead at her home in Juliet Road on Sunday after a two-day search. Police said her body had been "carefully concealed".

A man, 32, and woman, 23, have been arrested on suspicion of her murder.

West Midlands Police said they had been given until Wednesday morning to continue questioning the pair.

Mrs Beamond's car, a silver Vauxhall Astra with the registration T419 MDA, is still missing and police have appealed for help to locate it.

They are also trying to trace a television, red Hewlett-Packard laptop and other items which have gone missing from her home.
