Bus destroyed in Sparkbrook 'arson attack'

A double-decker bus has been destroyed in a suspected arson attack in a Birmingham street.

It is not known how many passengers were on the National Express bus on Stratford Road, Sparkbrook, when the fire started. Nobody was hurt.

West Midlands Fire Service said the blaze on the upper deck may have been started deliberately.

Police are also investigating the cause of the fire, which started at 14:10 BST. They cannot confirm it was arson.
