Father and son charged after Darlaston pub assault

A father and son have been charged with attacking a man outside a West Midlands pub leaving him in a critical condition in hospital.

Police said the 45-year-old is in a coma after being punched and kicked in the head at the Staffordshire Knot in Darlaston at about midnight on Sunday.

Darren Cole, 47, and his son Zach, 25, have been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

They will appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court later.

Darren Cole, from Ruskin Street in West Bromwich, and Zach Cole from from Highfields in Burntwood, Staffordshire, were arrested on Monday, police said.
