Work is due to start on a £13.5m business school at the University of Wolverhampton.

The new six-storey building, due to open in August 2015, will be built on the university's Molineux campus.

The school will house teaching facilities, offices, meeting rooms and a cafe.

The university said the project had taken "months of planning" and would help "cement" the business school's reputation.

Dr Anthea Gregory, who heads the business school, said: "It is wonderful news that work on the new building is imminent.

"This will cement the business school's reputation in the region and nationally, not just with students but with the business community.

"It is also great news for Wolverhampton and shows confidence in the local economy and the city."
