An industrial site has been destroyed after a fire broke out in a garage in Minworth.

Buildings within 50m (164ft) of the building, on Maybrook Road, have been evacuated.

It follows the discovery of potentially dangerous cylinders, West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service said.

More than 50 firefighters tackled the blaze at its height, and 30 remain on site, along with 10 pumps.

The fire, at Castle Vale Industrials, has been brought under control, a fire service spokesman said.
