Birmingham slavery case: Second person charged
A second person has been charged in relation to suspected slavery offences in Birmingham, police have said.
An investigation was launched in January after four men were found in "squalid conditions" at a house in Alum Rock Road.
Cristian Panaghita, 31, of Cotterills Lane, was charged on Wednesday night with conspiracy to hold another person in slavery or servitude, police said.
He is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on 9 May.
A woman, Vasilica Panaghita, of Alum Rock Road, has already been charged with four counts of knowingly holding another person in slavery or servitude.
She is due to appear at the city's crown court on Friday.
A 28-year-old man remains on police bail pending further inquiries.
