A woman whose body was found in a Wolverhampton hotel room died as a result of multiple knife wounds, a post-mortem examination concluded.

Amandeep Kaur Hothi, 29, from the city, was found dead at the Britannia Hotel in Lichfield Street at 10:00 GMT on Thursday.

A 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder is in hospital.

The West Midlands force said he would be taken into police custody once he is deemed well enough to be questioned.
