Students date 'sugar daddies' to raise money for fees

3 March 2014 Last updated at 23:44 GMT

A growing number of young women are dating older men for money in order to pay their university tuition fees, a BBC investigation has found.

Inside Out in the West Midlands spoke to one student who said she was regularly paid hundreds of pounds by so-called "sugar daddies", after signing up to a dating website.

The National Union of Students has urged universities to do more to raise awareness and provide support for students.
