Stafford Shire Hall: Campaign to save historic building

Campaigners have urged Staffordshire County Council to abandon possible planes to close or sell Stafford's Shire Hall.
Derek Hickman, a former barrister, said the 1790s-built complex - home to the county town's library and former court - was a "valuable historical and educational resource".
Labour councillor Maureen Compton expressed uncertainty over the Hall's future but Conservative Ian Parry said it would be "wrong" for the council not to assess the best use of public buildings.
