Three men quizzed over attempted child abduction claim

Three men are being quizzed by police on suspicion of attempted abduction near schools in Birmingham, police said.

The men, aged between 22 and 41, were stopped by police on Thursday morning as their van went through Great Barr.

The arrests follow an incident on Wednesday when a girl fled after being approached by three men in a white Transit-type van.

Similar incidents took place near Perry Beeches School on Monday, police said.

Det Insp Tom Chisholm, West Midlands Police, said officers were trying to trace the girl who was approached by three men, along with witnesses who may have seen the incident.
