Recycled Christmas trees are being given to big cats at a zoo in the West Midlands.

Keeper Matt Lewis said: "Carnivores like tigers rip up the trees and mark them with their scent, they become intoxicated by the smell."

The Zoo said more than 50 trees had been donated which would be recycled into woodchip to act as nesting for other animals.
