A singer who was once a familiar sight performing across the West Midlands has celebrated her 100th birthday.

Iris Bonehill found fame in the 1930s with her singing sisters as part of their group, The Clayton Sisters.

The group toured theatres throughout the UK with jazz legend Duke Ellington, as well as holding shows in city parks and making records.

Beginning her career 20 years before the music charts were invented, Iris, who now lives in Worcestershire, talked to Satnam Rana about her life and career.
