Geoffrey Carter murder: Susan Buckley in court cover Walsall house fire

A woman has appeared in court accused of murder after a man died in a house fire on Christmas Day.

Geoffrey Carter, 58, suffered smoke inhalation in the blaze at the property in South Street Gardens in Caldmore, Walsall, on Wednesday. He later died in hospital.

Susan Buckley, 57, was charged with murder on Saturday and appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Tuesday.

She was remanded in custody to reappear at the court on 26 March.
