Geoffrey Carter named as Christmas day fire death victim

A man who died in a house fire in the West Midlands on Christmas Day has been named by police.

Geoffrey Carter, 58, died from smoke inhalation in the blaze at the property on South Street Gardens in Caldmore, Walsall, late on Wednesday afternoon.

Susan Buckley, 57, has been charged with Mr Carter's murder.

West Midlands Police said she had been remanded in custody and was due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Tuesday.
