Birmingham man charged with woman's murder

A computer consultant from Birmingham has been charged with the murder of a 47-year-old woman.

Edward Metcalfe, 35, from Riverside Crescent, is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court later.

Tracey Topliss was found dead at her home in Riverside Crescent just before 06:00 GMT on 15 November.

Police said she had sustained serious head injuries. Mr Metcalfe was remanded in police custody on Tuesday.
