Kelly Cliff asked former neighbour to kill her partner

A woman has been found guilty of asking a former neighbour to kill her partner.

Kelly Cliff, from Walsall in the West Midlands, had numerous affairs during her 22-year relationship with Carl Gallagher and wanted him killed, Wolverhampton Crown Court heard.

She asked 45-year-old Dalton Bowen to help her but he went to police.

Cliff, 40, was convicted of soliciting murder and will be sentenced next month. She was told she faced a "substantial custodial sentence".

Speaking after the case, Det Con Jim Connell, of West Midlands Police, said: "It was a good result for the police after eight months of hard working in an unusual case."

"There were two witnesses in the case and it was whether they believed the defendant, Kelly Cliff, or the prosecution witness," he said.
