Birmingham Literature Festival opens

Birmingham Literature Festival has opened at the city's new £189m library.

Now in its 15th year, the festival features more than 40 events, many of them involving local authors.

Programme Director Sara Beadle told BBC Midlands Today's Satnam Rana changing the festival's name from the Birmingham Book Festival reflected the use of new technology by 21st Century readers.
