A teenager has been charged with the murder of a college student who was stabbed in Birmingham.

Azim Azam, 16, from Billesley, was found collapsed in the street after getting off the number two bus in Moseley at 08:30 BST on Monday.

Police said a 17-year-old from Kings Heath, who cannot be named due to his age, would appear at Birmingham Youth Court on Thursday charged with murder.

A post-mortem examination revealed Azim died of a single stab wound.

He was found lying in Yardley Wood Road at its junction with Hayfield Road on Monday.

He later died in hospital.
