Kings Norton road accident leaves motorcyclist dead

A motorcyclist has been killed in a collision with a car in Birmingham, the ambulance service said.

The accident happened in Pershore Road South, near to Kings Norton Library, at about 19:30 BST on Saturday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the motorcyclist suffered a heart attack.

"Sadly, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene," a spokeswoman said.

Pershore Road remained closed by police for several hours following the collision.

The three occupants of the car were not injured, the spokeswoman added.
