Birmingham back yard turned into performance space

A playwright and artistic director has decided to turn his workplace's back yard into a performance space for actors, musicians and artists.

Don Kinch, director of Nu Century Arts, has transformed the space behind a house in the Handsworth area of Birmingham into The Back Yard.

He told BBC Midlands Today's arts reporter Satnam Rana it was getting more difficult for groups to get performance venues because of the cost.
