The family of a 49-year-old woman who was killed in a crash between two cars in Birmingham have said they are "devastated" by her loss.

Noreen Ryan, from Kings Norton, was a passenger in a Ford Fiesta which collided with an Audi R8 in Shaftmoor Lane, Hall Green, on 26 August.

The Fiesta driver remains in hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The 24-year-old driver of the Audi was arrested when he handed himself into police. He was released on bail.

In a statement, Mrs Ryan's family said she was "loved by all."

They said: "She was generous by nature with a heart of gold. She loved a family get together and will be missed by everyone."

West Midlands Police said it still wanted to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, which happened at about 23:30 BST.
