Brierley Hill man charged after lorry death

A 27-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man hit by a lorry in Dudley.

The 26-year-old victim was hit by an HGV in Thorns Road, Quarry Bank, shortly after 15:30 BST on Tuesday and died at the scene.

Garret Fitzpatrick, of Bank Street, Brierley Hill, has been charged with his death.

He is in custody and is due to appear before magistrates in Wolverhampton on Saturday.

Another man, 21, arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of manslaughter has been released without charge.
