Man shot in arm in Birmingham

A man has been shot in his car in Birmingham.

He was attacked in Belchers Lane, in the Alum Rock area of the city, shortly after midnight, West Midlands Police said.

The 36-year-old was taken to hospital with an arm injury but his condition is not believed to be life threatening.

Belchers Lane has been cordoned off at the junction with Cotterills Lane while officers examine the scene, a force spokesman said.
