Manders Bar stabbing: Man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a clubber was repeatedly stabbed in the toilets of a Wolverhampton bar.

The 21-year-old man was stabbed up to nine times in Manders Bar on 21 July.

Another man, aged 21, was due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court charged in connection with the attack.

The charged man, who was arrested in Chapel Ash just before 02:00 BST on Sunday, is also accused of possessing a lock knife in public.

Police said the victim remained in a stable condition in hospital.

They said a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman arrested at the North Street club in connection with the attack remained on police bail pending further inquiries.
