A teenager has pleaded guilty to manslaughter over the killing of a 16-year-old who was stabbed in the leg.

Ben Morutare died after being stabbed outside the Home Guard and Old Comrades Club in Smethwick, last July.

Andy Ly, 18, of Fulmer Walk, Ladywood, admitted manslaughter and violent disorder. Omar Robinson, 19, of Rann Close, Ladywood, also pleaded guilty to violent disorder.

The case at Wolverhampton Crown Court was adjourned for pre-sentence reports.

A charge of murder against Ly will lie on file, the court heard.
