Barry Shillam death: More time to question suspects

Police have been given more time to question three people arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in the West Midlands.

Barry Shillam, from Smethwick, was found collapsed in Brook Street in the town in the early hours of Thursday.

He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Two men aged 40 and 46 and a woman, 39, remain in custody. A 16-year-old girl and a 35-year-old-woman, also arrested, have been released without charge.

A post-mortem examination was due to have taken place on Friday.

Mr Shillam's family said: "Barry will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends."

Brook Street has reopened following a search and police want to speak to anyone who was in the area on Wednesday evening.
