Hassan Mahmood stabbing: Teenagers appear in court

A 17-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of a teenager who was fatally stabbed in Birmingham.

Hassan Mahmood, 15, was attacked in Oaklands Park on Monday and died in hospital from a single wound to the back, police said.

The 17-year-old was remanded in custody following his appearance at the city's youth court. He is due at Birmingham Crown Court on Tuesday.

A 16-year-old boy, charged with assisting an offender, was bailed.

He is due at Birmingham Crown Court on Saturday 27 July.
