Birmingham pub stabbings: Kingstanding man charged

A man has been charged with stabbings outside two Birmingham pubs after police found him in South Yorkshire.

The 26-year-old from Kingstanding has been charged with possessing offensive weapons and three counts of wounding.

The charges relate to two fights. In the first, on 23 June, three men were stabbed outside nightclub China Red.

The second was on Saturday outside the Sportsman's Rest pub in Kingstanding where one man was stabbed and another was hit with a baseball bat.

The man was arrested in Sheffield late on Saturday and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court later.

Two 21-year-old men from Birmingham are already on police bail after being arrested in connection with the fight outside China Red.
