50 Cent cancels Birmingham Argos visit after attack charge

Rapper 50 Cent has cancelled a planned appearance at a Birmingham branch of Argos after he was charged with attacking his ex-girlfriend in the US.

The star had been due to go to the Union Street shop on Monday to promote his range of headphones while on a visit to the UK.

He was also due to appear on a TV shopping channel.

The 37-year-old, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is due in court in Los Angeles on 22 July.

He has been charged with domestic violence and four counts of vandalism.
