Birmingham China Red nightclub stabbing leaves three injured

Three people have been stabbed at a Birmingham nightclub, with one left critically injured.

A 24-year-old man was in a critical condition in hospital following the stabbing at China Red on Wrottesley Street just after 04:00 BST.

Two other men, a second 24-year-old and a 25-year-old, were also in hospital with stab wounds, police said.

Police have arrested a 20-year-old on suspicion of attempted murder and a 21-year-old on suspicion of affray.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Officers have cordoned off an area on Ladywell Walk whilst the assault is investigated, early indications suggest that this was not a random attack."

Anyone with information is asked to call the force.
