Man Tasered in Birmingham Tesco disturbance

A man has been Tasered by police officers in Birmingham after reports he was threatening supermarket staff with a penknife.

West Midlands Police said they were called to Tesco in Aston Lane shortly after 1805 BST after receiving a 999 call from someone in the store.

They said a man had been "behaving aggressively" and vandalising tills.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested and taken to hospital for a cut to his hand.

No-one else was injured in the incident, police said.
