Bilston man killed by lorry named

A man who died after being hit by a lorry on the Black Country Route has been named by police.

Pedestrian Paul Davies, 43, from Bilston, was fatally injured in the collision near the Lunt junction at about 21:45 BST on Wednesday.

He was treated by paramedics but was confirmed dead at the scene. The road was closed for four hours following the crash.

West Midlands Police appealed for witnesses to come forward.
