Birmingham man charged over £100k cocaine find
A man from Birmingham has been charged with attempting to import a class A drug after cocaine with a street value of £100,000 was discovered in luggage.
Officers found 2.2lb (1kg) of liquid cocaine inside rum bottles searched by Gatwick Airport officers on Saturday.
A man, who had arrived on a flight from Jamaica's Montego Bay, appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The 21-year-old, from Edgbaston, was remanded in custody to reappear in court on 3 June.
