Mailbox Birmingham stabbings: Fourth man appears in court

A fourth man has appeared in court in connection with a stabbing at a Birmingham bar.

Ashley Smyth, 18, of Castle Vale appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court charged with violent disorder.

Robert Cadby, 49, from Cadbury Drive, and his brother Thomas Cadby, 51, from Hawker Drive, were hurt at the Bar Room Bar in The Mailbox complex on 6 April.

Along with Russell Broughton, 43, of no fixed abode they were charged with using or threatening unlawful violence.

Mr Smyth was remanded in custody at the hearing on Tuesday, to appear before Birmingham Crown Court on 28 July.

A 20-year-old man remains on bail, in connection with the incident, West Midlands Police said.
