Edgbaston Spar store stabbings: Teenager arrested

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a double stabbing at a Birmingham convenience store.

West Midlands Police said the teenager was held on Thursday evening at an address in the city.

The stabbings happened outside the Spar on Bristol Road in Edgbaston at about 23:00 BST on Wednesday.

A 24-year-old man is said to be in a critical condition, while a 21-year-old man suffered a serious arm injury.

Police have said the men appear to have been stabbed following an argument.
