Birmingham bus crash sends three to hospital

Three people have been taken to hospital after a bus crash in Birmingham.

Emergency services were called to Camden Street shortly after 22:15 GMT on Wednesday, after reports that a double-decker bus had hit a tree.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said several crews had attended.

The driver, a man believed to be in his 50s, was taken to hospital along with two passengers suffering from neck and back injuries.

One passenger in his 40s, was taken to City Hospital, while the other, believed to be in his late 30s, was treated at Sandwell Hospital.

Both men had to be removed through a bus window after the doors were blocked in the crash.
