Drones monitor impact of seaweed

Scientists from the University of Birmingham have been working with space agency Nasa to use high-flying robot drones to study the Earth's atmosphere.

Researchers are gathering the data and comparing it to research already collated at the University of Birmingham to see how natural resources - particularly seaweed - are affecting the Ozone layer.

Professor Robert MacKenzie, from the university, said the study was not primarily interested in the impact pollution was having on the Ozone layer - only "natural processes".
