A man has died after collapsing whilst playing football in Birmingham.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said it was called to a playing field off Park Approach, Erdington, at about 16:15 GMT on Sunday.
The man was in cardiac arrest when paramedics arrived at the scene, the service said.
Crews used a defibrillator to "shock the man's heart" but he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene, a WMAS spokeswoman added.
A&E patient safety 'not guaranteed'
West Midlands NHS chiefs warn they cannot guarantee patient safety in accident and emergency departments in the region.
