Cannabis factory in West Bromwich Police said they found about 1,200 plants in the unit

Cannabis plants with a street value of £500,000 have been found on an industrial unit in West Bromwich, police have said.

A police sniffer dog found the drugs inside a converted cold storage unit near Greets Green Road on Thursday.

West Midland Police said they found about 1,200 plants being cultivated inside the unit.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with drugs possession and carrying a knife in public, a spokesman added.
