Wolverhampton rubbish chute baby: Woman denies attempted murder
A 24-year-old woman has denied attempting to murder a baby discovered by police at the bottom of a rubbish chute in Wolverhampton.
The baby girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found with serious injuries outside a block of flats in Boscobel Crescent in September.
She was treated at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Jaymin Abdulrahman pleaded not guilty to attempted murder at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
Speaking through an interpreter, Ms Abdulrahman also denied perverting the course of justice by telling West Midlands Police the baby had been abducted by people unknown to her.
Judge John Warner remanded the 24-year-old in custody and she is next due to appear at the court on 22 February.
A provisional trial date has been set for 5 June at Birmingham Crown Court.
A 32-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, remains on police bail.
