Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a former headmistress in Wolverhampton.

Hester Mottershead, 90, of Saxonfields, Tettenhall, collapsed after three men posing as water board officials searched her home on 17 August.

West Midlands Police arrested two 18 year olds on suspicion of manslaughter and on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.

The pair were taken into custody on Wednesday, where they remain.

Ms Mottershead, who lived alone, was a former head teacher at Bilston Girls High and Wolverhampton Girls High schools.

After collapsing, she was taken to hospital where she later died following a suspected stroke.
